How to manage your property on the Vacation Realty Community. This tutorial will cover how to manage your listing for property owners advertising in our Community of Vacation Rentals By Owner. Including but not limited to property descriptions, terms of service issues, amenities, accessibility and location types. Once you have read this tutorial we believe you will have a much better understanding of how to edit and manage your property description. Be sure to read the tutorial if you have questions regarding the property description pages. You may also email us if you need further assistance.
Managing Listing : To manage and edit a listing you must be a registered user and have atleast 1 active property in our community. If you have not registered please register here and list your property before continuing with this tutorial. Once you have completed the registration process and received an email with your user name and password please use the owner login and login to your account. This will enable you secure online access to manage the details regarding your property including amenities, descriptions and location types.
Property Descriptions : You are now logged into your account and presented with a number of different icons. Each icon visually references different editing features. On the left column you will see an icon named “Manage Listing”. Once you click this icon you will be presented with a screen that enables you to enter the details of your property. Some of theses details include title, property description, location type, amenities, and suitability, website address. It is important to enter relative information regarding your property. Be as descriptive as possible and be sure to put emphasis on your offering.
Interactive Maps : On the right hand column of your screen you will be presented with a block which enables you to enter the address of your property. This feature is used to enable interactive maps on your property description page. These maps are visible to travelers browsing your property details page and let the user view a street map and satellite map of your property location. We strongly encourage property owners to use this feature. The more information you provide about your property, the higher your success in catching a travelers attention.
Saving Your Work: It is important to save your work! Once you have completed entering the title, property description, amenities, maps an suitability you will be presented with a save listing icon on the bottom of your screen. To save the information you have entered simply click “Save Listing”. This action will save your current progress and you may move onto adding photos for your property. Finally, it is also noted that our network generally cache’s stored information as it increases the speed of our community. Once you have added or updated the Manage Property page it may take up to 5 minutes to reflect this changes in our community.
Important Notice: It is very important to follow these steps and abide by our policies. Here are a few important things to remember. Listing multiple properties in a property description page is prohibited and against our terms of service. If a listing is moderated and found to be advertising multiple properties it will be withdrawn from our network. If you have multiple properties you may add them via your account by clicking “Add New Listing”. Each must have it’s own property description. By using profanity, racial slurs or any such language in a property description page will result in your property being removed indefinitely. 3. Website addresses or email addresses in the property description page are also unauthorized.
