How to use and manage inquiries received on the Vacation Realty Community. This tutorial will cover how to read inquiries and respond to travelers for property owners advertising in on the Vacation Rentals By Owner Community. This tutorial will also cover changing your email address, replying to traveler requests, forwarding inquiries to community members, archiving messages, printing and deleting correspondence from your mailbox.
Your Inbox : To receive messages from travelers you must be a registered user and have atleast 1 active property in our community. If you have not registered please register here and list your property before continuing with this tutorial. Once you have completed the registration process and received an email with your user name and password please use the owner login and login to your account. This will enable you secure online access to add a property and begin receiving inquiry’s from travelers interested in booking your home.
General Information : Once you have completed the registration process and have listed a property you may click the icon labeled “Inbox”. This will enable you to view the messages sent to you via travelers browsing our network. It is important to remember the email address (in which you used to register) is the email address set to receive correspondence from interested parties. This can be changed at anytime by clicking on the “Update Details” screen. This screen enables you to change or update your email address and personal information. Note: If you decide to change your email address, the new email address used will be your new screen name and the old email address peviously used will no longer be used to login to your account.
Receiving Messages: There are three methods of communication. The first method are messages from our administration team that will at times send messages to your account. Secondly, messages from travelers interested in booking your property. Finally inquiries forwarded to you from our community members. All messages and inquiries sent to your inbox will also be forward directly to your local email address. The forwarded message will be an exact replica of what is stored in your inbox at vacation realty. The purpose for storing information in your inbox at vacation realty is to prevent loss of this information due to spam filtering on some computers. To avoid loosing messages that could potentially end up in a spam filter, we recommend logging into your account daily to check the messages you may have received.
Reading / Administration: We have implement as many options as possible in regards to sending, receiving, printing, deleting and archiving emails. To use these features simply click on your “Inbox Icon”. If you have received messages these messages will be clearly visible in your mailbox. Simply click the message and the contents of this message will be displayed on the lower portion of your screen. You may reply directly from your account to the message, print the correspondence, archive the message for reading at a later date, or forwarding the messages to a community member.
Community Members : A community member consists of property owners that have listed properties in the same geographical location as yourself. Our community feature is a social networking tool which enables you to share thoughts and ideas with property owners in the Vacation Realty community. You may also share your inquiries with owners if you feel they can service the inquiry better. By sharing, property owners in our network can do the same for you, thereby substantially increasing your booking ratio.
