This tutorial will cover how to graphically enhance your listing by using listing themes. These themes were designed for owners advertising their property on the vacation realty community of websites. There are currently 7 themes available. These themes are Country, Ski, Lake, Mountain, Beach, Cabin, and Golf. More themes will be added in the coming weeks to enhance the look of listing pages and geograhpical locations.

Listing ThemesListing Themes : The Vacation Realty theme system is a way to “skin” your property description page. Skinning your property description page is easy using our dynamic theme system. Themes can provide a better overall experience for travelers browsing your property description. Themes were designed and based on specific location types, enabling you to use them to attract sufers in our network interested in booking a vacation rental property.

Selecting a ThemeSelecting A Theme: To theme a property description page simply login to your account and click on the “Listing Theme” icon. Once this is done you will be presented with a visual screenshot and example of the 7 themes that may be used. You can click the theme to preview it in your browser before deciding on which best suits your property. For instance, if your a property owner with a cabin the obvious theme to use would be a cabin theme. If you are a property owner on a lake you may decide to use this as well. Themes can be replaced at anytime by selecting the appropriate theme that you want displayed on your property description page.

Saving ThemesSaving Your Theme: Once you have decided on which theme to use and you have selected the theme that best fits your needs simply scroll to the lower portion of your screen and click save. Once you have saved a message will appear confirming that your listing theme was activated. Once this is complete it may take up to 5 minutes for you to visibly see this effect on your property description page. Our system uses a method referred to as ‘caching’ to minimize the stress on our database. It is also a temporary storage area where frequently accessed data can be stored for rapid access.
