This tutorial will cover how to add and edit your vacation rental rates for properties listed in the Vacation Rentals Community at VacationRealty.com. Like all of our releases, the rate manager has been thoroughly tested to ensure property editing, displaying and saving of your rental rate information correctly and accurately. Rates can be modified and edited at anytime by logging into your control panel. Keep in mind there is a 5 minute delay on any rate information that has been recently updated to become visible on your property description page. Manage Rental Rates: The manage rates screen enables you to set the rate information for any particular month, date or season for your property. Keep in mind the rate manager can manage an unlimited amount of property data from an unlimited number of properties located inside your account. To locate the rate manager simply toggle the pulldown menu to the property in which yo intend to edit. Once you have completed this simply find the icon which represents “Manage Rental Rates” and click it. You will not be presented with a screen which enables to you edit the rate information regarding this particular property.
Rental Rate Factors: Once you have loaded this page in your control panel you will be presented with several options. The first option enables you to set the currency in which you would like to display rates on your property description page. Keep in mind your property page as equipped with a rate converter so travelers can convert your rates into their currency at anytime. Once you have selected your desired currency you may set the following to be displayed on your rates page - Tax Rate, Cleaning Fee (If any), and deposits required either fixed or flat rates. Once you have completed these fields simply click the save button and scroll down to the setting price options.
Setting Price Options: To set price options simply start by adding a title to your rate entry. An example would be Title - Summer Peak, or Winter, Fall, Spring, etc. After you have added a note scroll down to the date manager and specify the dates of the season that this rate will be applicable for and select either per person/ or per night. Once these settings are in place you may specify if this rate information applies to per night, per day, or per person. Select the appropriate option and minimum stay. You have no completed a rate entry and you may save your progress. You may continue the steps above to add more seasonal rates and options.
Editing/Deleting Rates : Your rates can be edited or deleted at anytime. If you choose to edit your rates, simply click the edit icon in the rate display and the options for this rate information will be preloaded in the left hand portion of your screen. This information looks exactly as you have previously entered it however it is now editable. Edit the desired fields and simply click save. This new information will be saved for viewing on your property description page. Finally, if you decide to delete a special rate, special time of season etc you may simply click the delete option. You will be prompted for a confirmation before the deletion actually occurs.
